Just a glance

When i think about concerts that I went  there’s only one that pops into my head. That particular one is the Rolling Stones concert that took place on the national stadium on February 3 rd 2016. Generally I don’t go to concerts, and there’s three main reasons why this happens. First of all is the money issue, even if I wanted to go to a concert that I liked, I don’t really have the money to spend in that kind of events, because they are really expensive to afford. The second reason for this is that the kind of artist that I really enjoy and I would like to see live are dead or in their way to the grave. Im talking about classic rock artist like The rolling Stones (of course), Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Who etc… So even if they are alive they are really old to go on a tour that long so they arrive to Chile, and when they actually do, they sell really expensive tickets.  The reason number three is that for me in Chile there is an execisive ...

David Fincher, invisible details. I was thinking the other day about who is my favorite movie director. And that’s a tricky one, because im not really a guy that watches a lot of movies, but I realize that I liked certain kind of movies that directly or indirectly are linked to David Fincher. He has a lot of famous movies, like “Fight Club” or “ The Curious Case of Benjamin Button ”. He is also producer and director of the first episode of the critically acclaimed “house of cards” Netflix series.  I find really interesting the way that he tells stories throught film, because is nothing very showy or impressive, in fact in most of his movies is like nothing really happens the most of the times and the movies doesn’t have a satisfying resolution of the plot. I don’t really think about stuff like travelling around the world to visit countries and to see different cultures, at least not today. But if I have to pick one country it would be the United States for sure. This is the country where everything happens, and because of tv shows, movies, music and culture in general that I liked my whole life it’s a place that I familiarized a lot over the years. Don’t get me wrong, it’s true that I know and like much of the things in there, but this is not about how I love the country and everything that implies. In fact the lifestyle that they have and the impact of his culture is something that I criticize a lot, like their relationship with the countries of the middle east or how everyone in the world is trying to copy their ways of living due to the globalization effects.
